Chap 29 Home coming

Watching the sun come up from behind the hills and the first rays reaching her, gave her immense pleasure. Ghazal was up early as usual, sharing her early morning tea with the rising sun. Arun and Vrinda still asleep, she enjoyed this time quietly enjoying nature’s company. Home-coming had been pleasant, with Arun sharing as much of his time as possible with her and Vrinda. A new companionship was growing  between them, which made her feel comfortable in a way, she had never felt before. All her friends were happy for her , especially Mihir who had called more than once in the past two weeks and to her surprise, chatted away easily and comfortably with Arun. He had also promised to come to India for a visit soon. She was more than happy at the way things have moved on in her life.
Friends had always been special in her life, and still were. Her friendship with Samar was unique and special, which had helped her grow strong and believe in her dreams and strive for them. With his silent yet steady support, Samar had stood by her through her hard times, loved her unconditionally and supported her without interfering in her life too much, but always lending an ear whenever she needed  someone to talk to. He had encouraged her to follow her passion – writing , something Vaibhav would also have done, had he been alive.
She continued with her job at school, although Arun had suggested her to give it up, which she had declined politely. She loved her job as it added to her self-confidence as well as retained her financial independence. Thankfully, Arun had not persisted and left the decision to her. She managed her time well between school and home, using her spare time for writing poetry and stories – re-living her unforgettable memories.
