Dance of Love

Image
With the first golden ray, The tiny bud smiles,   Oh so slowly her lashes flutter,   Soft lips tremble  With the lightest of breeze.   Bathed in the cool dew-drops,   She glistens like a precious pearl   Enclosed in its half-opened shell. A bee circles her  Enchanted by the sweet smell   Singing an ode to her beauty perhaps.   Love blooms and wings open   To welcome in a world of  Love and lust,   Sweet love-nectar  Works like magic.   Tangled in the dreamy web   Loses himself to the power of love,   And the wings enclose him in a loving hug.   Together they dance and sway   To the tunes of immortality.   By- Vinita Surana

Adhlikhe Panne

Image
Aksar chhute hue sirey talaasha karti hu Apne adhlikhe panno mei. Kuch to likha nahi Kuch ab dikhta nahi. Kahi faili hai syahi bheege hai jazbaat. Raat ki khamoshi mei Jab panna koi khulta hai Saara aalam jaise mehakta hai. Shabdo ka mela sa lag jaata hai. Kho si jaati hu mai, Phir khud ko samjhaati hu Purey manoyog se jut jaati hu Kuch chhutey hue siro ki talaash mei. By- Vinita Surana

Chap 30 Surprise !!!!

As she entered the house, Ghazal was treated with a hoot of  laughter, that too a familiar one. She could never fail to recognise her best friend’s voice. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Mihir laughing away at some joke, Arun must have cracked. She stopped in her tracks, unable to utter even a single word. It was Mihir who saw her first and rushed towards her and Vrinda, hugging Vrinda and planting a kiss on her forehead, who hugged him in return, recognising him as her favourite ‘Bunny Uncle’ from the innumerable video chats, they had shared.  She stood still,  feeling her eyes moisten with too many emotions flooding her heart.  Her eyes went to Arun who was smiling and simply nodded at her. Mihir hugged her too and gave her a fond smile. She saw that he had not changed much during last ten years, he had been away, except looking a bit tired. “Surprise !!!!…… how’s that??”, he gave her that familiar teasing look.                 “Stupid !! I’m going to kill you for this. You

Chap 29 Home coming

Watching the sun come up from behind the hills and the first rays reaching her, gave her immense pleasure. Ghazal was up early as usual, sharing her early morning tea with the rising sun. Arun and Vrinda still asleep, she enjoyed this time quietly enjoying nature’s company. Home-coming had been pleasant, with Arun sharing as much of his time as possible with her and Vrinda. A new companionship was growing  between them, which made her feel comfortable in a way, she had never felt before. All her friends were happy for her , especially Mihir who had called more than once in the past two weeks and to her surprise, chatted away easily and comfortably with Arun. He had also promised to come to India for a visit soon. She was more than happy at the way things have moved on in her life.                 Friends had always been special in her life, and still were. Her friendship with Samar was unique and special, which had helped her grow strong and believe in her dreams and strive for them.

Image

That Unsung Song

Image
In the solitude of night, Through the open window Enters a whiff of a familiar perfume, Sailing on the wings of breeze. Pages from my diary flutter To reveal yet again, An unsung song Of unrequited love. Memories of moments Cherished with care, Haunt the night Like a spell of Loosely woven dreams. That arresting smile Which stole my heart, Seems to envelop me in its charm. Eyes that spoke A million words, Touch me somewhere deep In the soul. Warmth of your love Fills the room With a radiance unmatched And a strong sense Of faith and hope. A wish to bring melody To that unsung song Of the unrequited love. Times unmeasured Passed by, Leaving imprints clear and dear To fill my days with half rainbows And nights with faint shadows. Every now and then, A breeze secretly enters my room And flutters those pages Which enfold that unsung song Of the unrequited love. By- Vinita Surana
