Yaadein...............the sweet n sour moments shared from life.

तुम्हारा आना और यूँ चले जाना, ख्वाब सा लगता है. वो अनछुए जज़्बात, प्यार का वो मधुर एहसास, वो मिलने की तड़प, तुम्हारा वो पहला स्पर्श, ख्वाब सा लगता है. वो रूठना-मनाना, शरारत करके हमें सताना, वो चाँदनी रात में छत पर मिलना, आँखों-आँखों में बातें करना, ख्वाब सा लगता है. वो चुपके से तुम्हारा खिड़की पर आना, ख़त में गुलाब दे जाना, वो पेड़ के नीचे घंटों बतियाना, मीठे-मीठे गीत सुनाना, ख्वाब सा लगता है. वो बारिश में भीगते हुए सैर पर जाना, बूंदों से हथेली सजाना, तुम्हारा आना और यूँ चले जाना ‘किरण’ ख्वाब सा लगता है. -विनिता सुराना ‘किरण’

Life changed for both Ghazal and Vaibhav after their engagement. Their marriage date had been fixed after 8 months, and they were enjoying this time between their engagement and marriage. Vaibhav liked to spend every single free minute with Ghazal, who enjoyed this  attention and care a lot. Her life had new colors now, with so much love and she felt like a free bird, with wings of desire and ties of love and bonding .         Vaibhav was very fond of her writing and Ghazal had immense liking for his voice and the soulful songs he always sang for her. Both of them were two different people, yet they complemented each other so well, that they appeared to be two fragments of a single picture, that too a beautiful one.          Days passed as if on wings, bringing them closer with each day passing. Vaibhav loved to surprise her with something unique and funny every now and then, which made her smile even when he was not with her. Just remembering those moments always brought smile on

A Week Later        Ghazal’s house looked like a flurry of activities, with everyone else except Ghazal, running here and there . All her friends were there making the required arrangements for the very important occasion. Ghazal looked beautiful in a pink saree, with mehandi on both her hands, her long hair left open, her face glowing without a trace of make-up on it. She rarely used make-up, except a touch of lip-gloss and a small bindi.        It was more like a family get-together, with Ghazal’s family and friends from her side and Vaibhav’s family and two of his college friends from his side. Vaibhav And Ghazal exchanged rings, with the shouts of congratulations rising up . Vaibhav too, looked stunning in a formal suit, and two of them looked MADE FOR EACH OTHER.            Akshit then came with Vaibhav’s guitar and everyone cheered, with Vaibhav’s voice floating in the air with the number, that was both his and Ghazal’s favorite. Almost a week had gone, since Vaibhav had proposed Ghazal. Although they met everyday in the group, neither of them bring up the topic. Vaibhav wanted her to take all the time she needed to take her decision. Ghazal was really grateful to him for this. But not everything happens according to our wish. Life has its own pace and destiny plays an important role in all our decisions and actions.          One fateful day, when Ghazal came home from market, she saw their family doctor coming out from the house with her grand-father who looked very worried. Instead of asking him anything, she rushed inside to find her grand-mother looking seriously ill. Later her grandpa told her, she ‘d had a mild heart- attack and needed complete rest. From that day Ghazal took all the responsibility of the house-hold, spending almost every minute awake with her grandma. She had stopped going out with her friends, they came to visit her sometimes except Mihir and Vaibhav who visited her everyday and tried

      Vaibhav’s proposal was quite a surprise for Ghazal, as she was not expecting it. She liked him a lot and they had become best friends but she had never seen their relationship in this light. That day she didn’t meet any of her friends. She was sitting alone in her room, gazing out of the window, when Mihir came to meet her in the evening.      “Hey doll !! What 's wrong ? Why are you sitting alone like this ? Hope my doll is fine... hmm ?”, he asked. Ghazal came out of her thoughts and with a smile said, “Of course !! Bunny I have something to tell you.” “Yup shoot :) my ears are all yours .” “ Do you like Vaibhav ? I mean wo uld you have liked him still, if he had not been my friend ?” “Hey why are you asking this doll ? Has he said something to you? Tell me did he do something wrong?”, Mihir sounded worried. “ Oh no ! nothing like that Bunny .   एक मुद्दत से शब्दों में ढालते रहें खूबसूरत सी वही तहरीर हो तुम. निगाहों ने बेकरारी से ढूंढा जिसे दिल में बसी वही तस्वीर हो तुम. पहली मुलाकात में अपने से लगे , वही हमसफ़र , वही मीत हो तुम. मन से होंठों तक जो आई , वही ग़ज़ल , वही गीत हो तुम. कलियों में खिली , फूलों में महकी , वही खुशबू , वही आरज़ू हो तुम. ख्यालों में रची , ख्वाबों में बसी , वही मुस्कान , वही जुस्तजू हो तुम. फासले मिटा दिए हमने ' किरण’ पर दूर-दूर रहते हो तुम. यादों में बसते हो हमारी , पर अजनबी से लगते हो तुम. अजब सी पहेली बन गए हो जैसे सच नहीं , बस एक ख्वाब हो तुम. -विनिता सुराना ‘किरण’
