Chap 23 Midnight Surprises !!!!

Ghazal was a sensitive soul and that reflected in her poetry. Her passion for writing had been revived and there was no looking back. Her thoughts flowed naturally, creating a vivid picture of her feelings and emotions which had a sole inspiration, her deep love for Vaibhav. But there was one person who had given life to her feelings for Vaibhav, who had reminded her of her deep love which she had tucked away in some farthest corner of her heart and closed all doors tightly. It was Samar who had entered her dull and dreary life like a fresh breeze and made her realise that she had every right to be happy and work for her forgotten dreams. With his love and care, he had given a boost to her shaken confidence and slowly and gradually made her come face to face with her suppressed feelings.

Old memories still brought tears to her eyes, yet they relieved her supressed emotions with words flowing on paper. She started posting her poetry on FB, and likes n comments started flowing, friends appreciating her natural style of writing. Her aim was never creating a literature classic, rather it was expressing her feelings n emotions.

Her friends , especially Mihir, were glad to see her return to her long lost passion. Then came a day which brought a flood of emotions with it. It was her BIRTHDAY and she got a big surprise when her bell rang exactly at midnight, and a delivery boy standing at her door with a bouquet of red roses sent by Arun. As soon as she closed the door, her cell started ringing. It was Mihir, who wished her and then to her surprise, she was soon connected to all her six childhood friends – Rahul, Akshit, Abhilasha, Suhani Avani and Mihir in a group call, thanks to modern technology. She was simply overwhelmed with emotions unable to speak for a long time, only listening to the voices, she loved to hear always but this time hearing them together after a long long time. All of them had moved on their separate ways, yet had kept in touch with each other, with an occasional call here and there. Promising to meet soon, they all wished her again and at last she found her voice to thank all of them and receiving their frowns for the same, scolding her for breaking the rule of friendship : No Sorry No Thanks. She knew fully well, who was behind all this and that made her miss her childhood friend all the more. She so wished she could meet Bunny and share all that had passed in the recent years, things she couldn’t share with him on the occasional calls.

Deep in her thoughts and feeling both elated and sad, she lay awake in her bed. Memories of her childhood and youth came flooding back. All her friends had settled down in their respective fields of interests, Ghazal being the only unfortunate one who had somehow lost her way in between. Things were now changing gradually for her and she reflected on all possibilities to make a mark for herself. ITS BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
