Chap 5 A Trip To Sariska
It was another beautiful day and fun filled too. Ghazal was going to Sariska on a picnic with students from school.They were supposed to leave very early so it was a hectic morning time and she forgot to wish her special friend, Samar ' Good Morning'. It had almost become a ritual for both of them to wish good morning n good night. Reminding her neighbor and friend, Rashmi to take care of Vrinda after school, she left in a hurry.
The trip to Sariska was a refreshing change from her routine life. She had a friendly relationship with all her students, hence she enjoyed a lot with them and her colleague and good friend, Disha. Disha was a special friend of hers,who had always stood with her in her good and bad times.Both of them had joined school together and from the very first day, they had clicked and had gone on to become good friends.
Sariska, the wild life sanctuary, with its lush green surroundings and clean fresh air, was a welcome change from the hectic life of Jaipur.Being a nature lover, Ghazal was lost in the beautiful surroundings, watching the stags feeding on fresh green grass. Disha was busy taking photographs and students were busy in groups exploring the natural beauty. At sunset, the serene surroundings somehow brought back the memories of her past years. Her childhood spent with her maternal grand parents, as she had lost her parents in a train accident at a tender age of three.Her childhood friend, Mihir,who was her friend, companion and a big brother, she had never had. Her school days, her teachers some of them very close to her heart, her college days and her loving and caring friends, she had met in college. Someone touched her shoulder and brought her back from her reverie. It was then, that she felt the dampness on her cheeks, a tear or two, which had slipped down without her knowledge. It was Disha,who had come to call her as it was time to go back.The sun was bidding final good byes and it was time to return to the city, she had spent her entire life in,and to home sweet home and her sweetheart Vrinda.The trip back was another fun ride with everyone participating in Antakshari.
Reaching home at eight,she was welcomed by Vrinda,who was waiting for her at the gate with Rashmi. Hugging her daughter tightly she thanked her good friend and opened the lock of her own flat.Vrinda had missed her as much as she had missed her darling baby.They chatted and she gave an account of her trip to her.While they were watching a wild life program on television,Vrinda fell asleep with her head on her lap.Shifting her to the bed and putting off all the lights except the soft night lamp,she logged on to FB. There were 3 messages from Samar.
"Good Morning have a nice trip tkcr n enjoy" posted at about 6AM."
"Forgot to wish me even Good Morning today (: " posted at 8AM.
"Missing u badly. Are you not back still?" posted at 8PM.
She saw the time,it was going to be ten.She messaged him.
"hey!!I m back.Had a wonderful time........enjoyed a lot.So sorry!! left in a hurry,forgot to wish u good morning...Good night sweet dreams tkcr miss u too."
Green light flashed in front of Samar's name and pop came the message in the chat box.
"Hiiiiii..... how was the trip........liar ! you didn't miss me :( or else you would have wished me or at least messaged me earlier when you returned back home...........I was waiting since evening :("
"Hey you are still awake ! I thought you would have gone off to sleep and I'll be able to see you only tomorrow :) Yup the trip was superb.... Sorry dear "
"It's ok :) !! Forgiven :) Let's sleep now, you have to get up early tomorrow for school :))" he messaged.
"yup gud night swt drms tkcr bbye........"
"gud nite swt drms tkcr u2 .......byeeeeeeeeeee "

A perfect ending to a perfect day. :))
