Chap 21 Dreams have a meaning?

Ghazal’s thoughts lay in turmoil, torn between her mind and heart, she was unable to decide about the next turn of her life. That night, lying on bed, she kept on thinking about what Samar had said. Tired as she was after a hectic day, sleep just took her into its soothing wrap and into a beautiful world of dreams.

There she was in her room, writing something, when Vaibhav put his arms around her neck from behind, nuzzling her hair, taking in the fragrance of her. Surprised, she smiled at him, a sight dearer than her own life. Vaibhav held her diary and read out the lines loud. They were about two people deeply in love and he knew very well, who those two love birds were. Poetry was incomplete……..

“ Ohh its beautiful !! So loving…. complete it …can’t wait to know, what my princess thinks about me”, said Vaibhav.

“Really ? How do you know, its for you? May be my Prince Charming is someone else….”, she teased him with a smile.

“If that’s the case, then that Someone’s life must have reached its destination. I would love to release him from all the worldly worries”, He said with a wink in an extra sweet tone.

Ghazal loved to watch his face, expressing the mock anger, an evidence of his deep love for her. She took her diary from his hand and turned to face him, smiling all so sweetly. She didn’t have a heart to tease him any longer and was about to say something, when the doorbell rang. She didn’t like the interruption, but it kept on ringing again and again. She woke up into the present, first rays of sunlight peeping from the window of her room. It was a new morning, and doorbell rang again, this time not in her dream….

It was the milkman, she took the packets and sat down on the kitchen chair, still feeling a bit sleepy, with reminiscences of her dream, still so vivid in her mind. She remembered her grandfather’s words that every dream had a meaning, especially those of the early dawn hours. What can this dream mean? Her head felt heavy and those lines kept on resounding in her ears, which Vaibhav had read out aloud from her incomplete poem.
