Chap 25 Business Calling…
Each passing day was strengthening their relationship n bringing them closer. Ghazal and Vaibhav shared a chemistry which could be a reason for anyone’s envy. With the marriage date fast approaching, preparations had begun in both the families.
One fine morning when Ghazal was making a list of items to be purchased, Vaibhav called asking her to meet him at their favorite ice-cream parlor. Ghazal agreed to meet him there in fifteen minutes, sensing his discomfort, but not asking anything. At the parlor, Vaibhav was already there and met her at the entrance and taking their ice creams sat down in one corner. “Is something wrong Shona ? Do you want to say something to me?”, she asked.
“Yup !! jaan I”ve to go to London for a month regarding some business deal. I know our marriage is just 40 days away and we had decided to do all our shopping together, but its urgent .” Ghazal gave out a sigh of relief, “Its ok jaanu, We can shop later, your work is more important. When are you leaving?”she asked.
“Day after tomorrow. Thanks for understanding Jaan. I’ll come back as soon as the deal is done. After our wedding ,we are going on a long honeymoon” (he winked at her with a sweet smile.). She blushed and smiled. “I’ll help you with your packing, lets go.”
They left the parlor hand in hand. Both of them knowing fully well , they would miss each other like hell.
