Chap 3 : Samar’s plight

Ghazal’s heart was beating so fast, but she took a deep breath and told Samar to calm down. When he had stopped crying, she asked what was wrong. What Samar told her, was just as shocking as to hear him cry, for he was otherwise a very cool n jolly natured person.

“ Kuchi , mummy-papa are getting separated. Mom left home, I’ve been looking for her since last two hours but can’t find her. I don’t know what to do. I just want to die Crying faceCrying face

“sssshhh…. Chiku please stop crying first ..just calm down and think of places or persons, your mom can go to. Have you called at home? May be she has returned home. Where’s your Papa, is he with you ?”

“ ok I’ll call at home, then i’ll call you back .”

“yes… do that . I’ll be waiting . Don’t worry, I’m with you.”

Samar’s call came after exactly 5 minutes. She quickly took the call and was relieved to hear that she was right to guess that his mom had returned home. She told him to go back home and stay calm, just leave the things, as they are.

“just go home and go to sleep Chiku and we’ll talk tomorrow. Take care. I’m always there with you. Everything will be fine.”

With that they bid good byes .

She couldn’t sleep that night, thinking of the fights between her and her husband,Arun, the effect they must have had on little Vrinda. She knew her daughter missed her father a lot, longed to be with him. Arun too, loved his daughter, but the differences between herself and Arun had become so wide that it felt almost impossible to even think of living under the same roof.

Samar was a grown up guy, yet he was so attached to his parents and was so disturbed by thier differences. Vrinda, on the other hand, was only twelve. What she must be going through? Even the thought made her eyes wet. She looked at her darling daughter, sleeping peacefully beside her, her heart going to her . Drained out both mentally and physically, she just slipped into a disturbed sleep, dreaming of all those past times, making her uneasy even in her sleep.
