Chap 32 A DROP IN THE DRIED OCEAN

Ghazal’s life had come to a stand-still, when one day a sweet little light entered in her otherwise dark life. A new life was to be borne . The thought disturbed her at first, she was scared of the new responsibility . But the day she held her pretty daughter Vrinda in her arms, she forgot all her losses. Vrinda was a pretty little angel, who gave her a new reason to live.
She got totally immersed in her new role, that of a doting mother. Vrinda became the pivotal point of her life. On one hand , her marriage was falling off, on the other she was happy with her little angel. Arun’s business trips were getting longer and longer, not that she bothered. What really terrified her ,were the days when he was at home. He was a short –tempered person, with a unreasonable possessive nature. The large house became her prison, a long tunnel of darkness, with her only ray of  light, her darling angel, Vrinda.
She missed her best friend Mihir, was heart-broken with the news of his shifting to U S A. Time went on its own pace, Vrinda entered in her second year. She had started walking, two beautiful feet like two delicate wings. She was a cheerful child, her father loved her a lot, played with her when he was at home. Ghazal tried to refresh her relationship with Arun, but his temper and lack of  understanding between them, threw their relationship into doldrums. Unable to take the stress anymore, one fine day when Arun was away at his site she decided to quit. She gathered courage and packing her bags left for her Grand father’s house, leaving a letter for Arun. It was a shock for Arun who had never in his dreams expect her to be so bold. Although he had never expressed his love for her, but he felt hurt.  He always took it for granted that she was his for life. His hurt-pride prevented him from asking her to come back.  They both agreed to let Vrinda have both her parents in her life, till she grew up enough to decide with whom to spend her life with.
Ghazal shifted to her old sweet home with her sweetheart daughter. As she entered her home, she got enveloped in her sweet memories, memories of her childhood, her school and college days, her friends, her darling grand parents and that one person who had come in her life with so much love , but who had also left her alone, her first love, Vaibhav.
