Chap 27 LOVE YOU TOO SHONA

A week had gone by since Vaibhav went to London….. His schedule there was quite busy, yet he had called her twice in that week. It was an entirely different feeling to be so far away, yet feel so close on hearing the voice of someone you love. Ghazal played his cassette daily, whenever she was alone . Vaibhav read her diary at night and often fell asleep while sharing Ghazal’s memories from her diary. This was his Ghazal, emotional and sensitive, free-spirited and caring, vulnerable and strong….. Although he had known her for almost two years, yet her diary had revealed an entirely new side of her personality. He had fallen in love with her all over again.
It was one such night ,when he was reading her diary, he realized that he had never heard those three magical words in Ghazal’s sweet voice. Its not that he was unsure of her feelings, but it was really surprising that he had never felt the need to hear from Ghazal ,what he already knew deep down in his heart. It was early dawn hour in India, but he decided to call Ghazal, for he missed her sweet voice too much and couldn’t wait for another 2-3 hours. A long ring went before Ghazal picked up the phone and answered with a HELLO,the sweetest voice in the world for him. He had awaken her from a deep sleep.yet when he answered ,she was all smiles. He could visualize her smiling all so sweetly and a blush spreading on her cheeks and reaching her ears, when he whispered I LOVE YOU. Yet when there was no reply from her ,he asked her , “Don’t you want to say anything?”
“hmm. no…………” she said teasingly with a smile on her face. He smiled too ,knowing fully well that his love was teasing her, but with fake annoyance he said , “ok then ,got to sleep…good night sweet dreams….”
Before she could reply, he hung off. She knew what he had wanted to hear. She said it loudly as if wanting him to hear “I LOVE YOU TOO SHONA”Red heartRed heart
