Chap 14 Eyes That Followed Her

Ghazal left the college canteen with her heart beating so rapidly that even her quick steps could not match its speed.She could feel a pair of eyes following her, those magical eyes which had looked so deeply in her eyes as if reaching her very soul. Vaibhav on the other hand , was quite happy at the way their first meeting had gone. He smiled as he remembered the deep rosy blush on Ghazal’s pretty face, which had made her look even prettier, if that were possible.
          On reaching home, Ghazal went straight to her room and opened the envelope. Her heart stopped as a beautiful sketch popped out. It was her own face looking at her, as if a mirror had been placed before her. Just below the sketch, in the corner was a ‘‘V’ . Vaibhav had drawn the sketch himself. She couldn’t believe her eyes, she had never even imagined in her wildest dreams that someone could like her so much.
          That night she couldn’t stop thinking about their first meeting and his voice kept on resounding in her ears. His eyes seemed to be watching her even now with that smile of his reaching her heart. It was an entirely new feeling  for her. Later that night when her grand mother came to check on her, she was surprised to see her smiling in her sleep. Her baby was having a beautiful dream, the dream of a world so beautiful that could fill all the voids in her life. Red heart

Each passing day was strengthening their relationship n bringing them closer. Ghazal and Vaibhav shared a chemistry which could be a reason for anyone’s envy. With the marriage date fast approaching, preparations had begun in both the families.        One fine morning when Ghazal was making a list of items to be purchased, Vaibhav called asking her to meet him at their favorite ice-cream parlor. Ghazal agreed to meet him there in fifteen minutes, sensing his discomfort, but not asking anything. After a troubled sleep at night, Ghazal woke up with the alarm clock buzzing. She had a terrible headache, then she remembered Samar… She prayed silently hoping everything was all right. Hastily she finished her daily chores , got herself and Vrinda ready and just before leaving for school, she logged in on fb. Her eyes filled up with tears, blurring her vision for a while. Her inbox had a message from Samar: GOOD MORNING kUCHI !! SORRY COULDN’T MESSAGE YESTERDAY DUE TO NETWORK PROBLEM…..MISSED YOU HAVE A NICE SMILING DAY Her face lit up with a smile, and taking a sigh of relief, she quickly typed a message : GOOD GOOD MORNING CHIKU…. THANK GOD  !! WAS SO WORRIED.. LEAVING FOR SCHOOL… SEE YOU IN THE AFTERNOON …MISSED YOU TOO AND A LOT…… That evening their friendship took a new turn , a new level of trust, when they exchanged their cell numbers.
