Relationships

 

Are matches made in Heaven? If asked, majority will answer in the affirmative. My next question would be: Then why some stand intact till the last breath and stay strong in the face of the wildest storm….and some cannot withstand even the first strong puff of wind? Perhaps everyone will have a different view on this one. I suppose the most probable answer would be, destiny has a role to play…some are destined to be together, while others are not. Now why this differentiation? Perhaps nobody has the answer to this, at least not a valid one…there may be a lame explanation like " this is God's will…" but why would God make them meet in the first place, if he does not want them to be together? Yes may be that can be a lesson to be more careful next time we choose a partner, but then do we have a choice next time? Or is it God's will again? If we do have a choice then why not the first time around? Baffling!! Isn't it?
There are so many couples who believe in the philosophy and quietly spend their lives thinking, this is their destiny. Is human life so unimportant that we can spend it sparingly without even believing in it? NO if you ask me, it's a big NO. It's not merely about marriages or relationships but also about the quality of life we lead. Our life is a web of relationships, and more the threads more enriching it will be, for every thread strengthens the web. Every relationship adds something valuable to our life…but only when we let it. Here I'm not talking about the fleeting relationships which vanish before even the day is over. My reference is towards the strong ones, which are there to stay. These, if we have a close look, are those which we choose to stay in our lives, however strong the winds may be against them. These may happen by a sheer chance but they won't stay if not nurtured with care. Hence the importance of choice.
How and whom we choose to be with us? I believe the entire universe is a network of Cosmic rays with varying wavelengths. There are people with same wavelength who are attracted to each other. This attraction is not physical rather mental and spiritual. This is the reason behind us feeling close to a person, even when we are distances apart. We feel connected even when we are not communicating. Mysterious it may appear, but the reason is simple enough. Physical connection can never be permanent, it's bound to be broken sometime or the other but when we reach someone mentally or spiritually, it can bind us for life.
Of all these threads in the web, there is a thread which is stronger than all others… and that one is bound to be our soul-mate for life. If we are lucky to meet that person in our life, we feel complete. He or she may not have similar beliefs or thoughts like us but is bound to connect, as he or she is the one who compliment us and go on to make our life a perfect WHOLE.
