I Love Rain

Everyone says “I Love Rain”

Some link it with love

Others link it with pain.

But we all love rain.

 

Those little droplets

Are not merely pleasure or pain.

Ask the barren land

That have no tears to drain.

Ask the dying plants

What pain is greater than losing your life in vain.

Ask those innocent residents of vanishing forests

“Who gets pleasure in lieu of their pain?”

Yes we all love the rain.

 

We let it fall from our palms

When we should keep it close to our heart.

We have no banks to store and preserve

This blood which gives every life a start.

We miss its loving touch

Yet, to save it, we don’t do much.

Yes we all love the rain.

Why is it then,

We let the sweet nectar go to drain?

Chap 28 HIS RETURN…..

For the next two weeks, both Ghazal and Vaibhav were busy..Vaibhav with his clients and formalities of the deal being finali z ed..Ghazal with shopping and other arrangements for wedding. Soon it was time for Vaibhav to return..      Both their families were happy and Vaibhav’s family decided to throw a surprise welcome party to celebrate his success and return. Vaibhav called her on the day before his arrival and asked her if she wanted anything from London, and her reply pleased him a lot        “ Yup please request London and the people there, to return my shonu………”   With a smile on his face, he said, “Sure he ‘ll soon be with you… cyaa sweetu”       On the day of his arrival, Ghazal was at his (soon to be hers too) home, helping his family in the arrangements of his welcome party. Kahte hai har raat ke baad ek subah hoti hai. Andhere ke aanchal mei asha ke deep jhilmilaate hai. Kuch bhule se nagme phir zahan mei ubhar aate hai. Jab uthte hai yaado ke bhanwar Tab thehri hui saanso mei hulchul hoti hai. Kahte hai har raat ke baad ek subah hoti hai. Har badalte mausam ke apne rang hote hai.
