Yaadein...............the sweet n sour moments shared from life.

Ghazal’s life had taken an unexpected turn, reducing her cheerful self to a sad state. Her smiles had gone for hiding. Most of the time, she was lost in her thoughts,as though in a daze. Her grandfather too had grown silent, not knowing how to cheer her up. All her friends visited her regularly, but no efforts on their part could console her. She had lost all interest in her life, taking care of her grandfather and her home, moving like a machine with no emotions whatsoever.       Three months had passed, with no changes in her life and home. Then one fine morning, her grandfather’s  friend came to visit them with a proposal from a family known to him. They had seen Ghazal previously at his house at some function and coming to know about the sad incident, had sent a proposal for their youngest son. Once there was this little girl I knew She had friends but very few. She had a dream house which heavens held Where love and innocence dwelled. She had but one dream That she longed to fly. Twenty-four hours later, when Ghazal opened her eyes in a hospital room, she didn't know that she had lost not only her first love but all her dreams too. Vaibhav had gone from this world and from her life forever.           Her whole world had turned upside down in the blink of a second.She couldn't believe her eyes,that Vaibhav had gone from her life forever. She just went silent, not reacting to anything, just staring with blank eyes towards nothing.Her sensitive self couldn't bear the hard truth and she had to be admitted in I.C.U.for a nervous breakdown.          Her grand-parents were broken too. Vaibhav's parents and his sister,visited the hospital regularly. Ghazal's condition was getting worse day by day. She had no will to live. Then one day, her life took another turn, when her grand mother had another serious heart-attack.It was as if she had another jolt, which made her forget all except that God cannot be so cruel to her...

Moving is always fun. Life is a long run. But lets pause for a minute To enjoy the pastures green. To watch at work the bee queen. To pray when the bells ring. To sing with the falling spring. To smile with the blooming bud. To watch kids play with the garden mud. Time is a constant mover. It stops for no one ever. But lets pause for a minute. To help someone in need. To make a difference with a kind deed. To hug a friend when eyes filled with tear. To hold in your arms someone dear. To watch for that moment, life takes a turn. For the next two weeks, both Ghazal and Vaibhav were busy..Vaibhav with his clients and formalities of the deal being finali z ed..Ghazal with shopping and other arrangements for wedding. Soon it was time for Vaibhav to return..      Both their families were happy and Vaibhav’s family decided to throw a surprise welcome party to celebrate his success and return. Vaibhav called her on the day before his arrival and asked her if she wanted anything from London, and her reply pleased him a lot        “ Yup please request London and the people there, to return my shonu………”   With a smile on his face, he said, “Sure he ‘ll soon be with you… cyaa sweetu”       On the day of his arrival, Ghazal was at his (soon to be hers too) home, helping his family in the arrangements of his welcome party. All their friends were there too. Vaibhav’s family and Ghazal went to receive him at the airport, with all the friends ...

A week had gone by since Vaibhav went to London….. His schedule there was quite busy, yet he had called her twice in that week. It was an entirely different feeling to be so far away, yet feel so close on hearing the voice of someone you love. Ghazal played his cassette daily, whenever she was alone . Vaibhav read her diary at night and often fell asleep while sharing Ghazal’s memories from her diary. This was his Ghazal, emotional and sensitive, free-spirited and caring, vulnerable and strong….. Although he had known her for almost two years, yet her diary had revealed an entirely new side of her personality. He had fallen in love with her all over again.          It was one such night ,when he was reading her diary, he reali z ed that he had never heard those three magical words in Ghazal’s sweet voice. Its not that he was unsure of her feelings, but it was really surprising that he had never felt the need to hear from Ghazal ,what he already ...

Two days flew by with Vaibhav busy in completing his office work and packing. It was evening time when Vaibhav came to meet Ghazal at her home. His flight to M umbai was sheduled the next morning and flight to London in the evening from Mumbai. Ghazal was in her room, lying down with moisture in her eyes and Vaibhav's pic in her hand. This was the first time, when they would be apart for such a long period. Vaibhav too, was sad but putting a smile on his face, he took her hand in his. She smiled back, but couldn't hide the sadness in her eyes. Vaibhav took her in her arms and hugged her tightly. They stayed like that without saying anything, as words were never required when they were together.         Vaibhav handed her a small packet. He clicked some pics of Ghazal with the camera he had brought with him. They quietly shared a cup of coffee, Ghazal had made.
